Tuesday Sep 13, 2016
Kscope Podcast 78 celebrates the new album from Nosound, Scintilla, and the Kscope successes at the Progressive Music Awards 2016.
Nosound’s new studio album includes guest appearances from Anathema’s Vincent Cavanagh and acclaimed Italian singer Andrea Chimenti. A stripped-down set of compositions for album five; music which tries to ignore the belly and the head. Giancarlo explains herein.
Plus – our presenter’s trip around table 9 and table 14 at the Progressive Music Awards, with Kscope winners iamthemorning, The Anchoress, her collaborator and label mate Paul Draper (ex-Mansun) and Kscope-associated artist Mariusz Duda of Riverside and Lunatic Soul. Episode 71 - an introduction to The Anchoress and a 9 minute Steven Wilson track
Wednesday Feb 03, 2016
Wednesday Feb 03, 2016
Hello and welcome to the first Kscope Podcast of 2016.
PLENTY going on at the label this year!
We start with an introduction to Catherine Anne Davies PhD, Simple Minds’ keyboardist, singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, PKA as The Anchoress for her debut album out now on Kscope,‘Confessions of a Romance Novelist’ – which is “sneaking big ideas past the listeners of daytime radio” (Q Magazine).
Some of the LP was co-produced and written with Mansun’s creative force Paul Draper (Catherine is currently helping Paul with his first solo album) so we’ll hear how the two met - as well as Catherine’s forthright opinions on gender in rock.
PLUS a track from the current album from Steven Wilson AND an update on the current Kscope artists on tour.
IT’S ALL HAPPENING!
