BBC TV news, all the great and the good were there – including your genial
pod-host Billy Reeves! This edition of the podcast celebrates this historic

Genesis, Yes, Jethro Tull, Opeth & ELP among many others – we congratulate
Prog Magazine for a superb evening. We were delighted that many Kscope artists
and records were nominated and picked up gongs.
We’ll hear tunes from
Gazpacho (nominated in the ‘New Blood’ category) Anathema (winners of ‘Best
Live Event’) and Steven Wilson (winner of ‘Guiding Light’) – as well as
something new from Nosound – from their ‘At The Pier’ E.P., featuring Chris
Maitland (ex Porcupine Tree) on drums.

Episode 32 - Gavin & Richard from Porcupine Tree discuss 'Octane Twisted'
Thursday Nov 01, 2012
Thursday Nov 01, 2012
Hi, welcome back to Kscope the Post-progressive Podcast.
Porcupine Tree’s ‘The Incident’ was their biggest album to date, top 30 in the USA AND the UK, and it was the band’s biggest tour to date… so here’s a live document of that tour; ‘Octane Twisted’ from your chums at Kscope.
And this isn’t just any old live album: it’s the whole of ‘The Incident’, plus some old friends and PT classics; grown, transmorgrafied from the studio versions…to take us through this process and to point us towards their personal highlights is drummer Gavin Harrison and synth manipulator Richard Barbieri.
D’y you want to know which tracks changed the most? If winter’s the best time to write songs? And whether there will there be another Porcupine Tree album anytime soon..?? And hear tracks from the album ahead of the release??? Then listen here. It’s awesome.

Episode 30 - Bruce Soord of The Pineapple Thief
Tuesday Sep 04, 2012
Tuesday Sep 04, 2012
Hi, welcome back to Kscope the Post-progressive Podcast.
New from The Pineapple Thief - 'All The Wars' - their most expansive album to date. Bruce Soord is TPT's songwriter, guitarist and studio auteur so he's lived with this album a long time - from writing through the demo process to the sudden jump to Peter Gabriel's studio and orchestral additions in Prague.
Time for some reflection then with your genial host Billy Reeves, who caught up with Bruce as the band gear up for touring. As The Pineapple Thief get bigger and more ambitious with their music away from the cocoon of their own studio we wondered if this would bring a different set of challenges for the band; not a bit of it. This is a glorious record and TPT are bound for glory...

Part 1 of the 'Childhood's End' special
Hi, welcome back to Kscope the Post-progressive Podcast. Episode 27.
Early pioneers of Norwegian black metal, Ulver have continually evolved throughout their career, they're living legends of the dark music industry, blending rock, electronica, symphonic and chamber traditions. They’ve always done exactly what they want to do.
Last year Kscope released the beautiful Wars Of The Roses album, now, Childhood's End, a collection of classic psychedelic and garage rock covers; unique versions of tunes by the likes The 13th Floor Elevators, Jefferson Airplane, The Pretty Things and many obscure ones too.
In a rare interview Kriss discusses the reasons for doing the album, why they feel they're "ambassadors" for these kinds of psyche records, the band’s adventures on tour. He now sees Ulver "on the periphery of metal”…
